Rev. Christine Balabyekkubo

Rev. Christine Balabyekkubo was born and raised in Uganda, the wife of Late Apostle Deograsias Balabyekkubo, who founded Prayer Palace Christian Center in Kampala, Uganda. She is a mother of eight biological children and many world-wide that honor her as thier spiritual mother and mentor.

In 1980, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour.

In that very year she finished her Diploma in Business and joined the first school of ministry in Uganda by Morris Cerullo, where she received her first Certificate in Leadership Training.  This gave her a chance to find her passion and calling in the ministry. Her role was to equip, motivate, and empower women to take on more leadership roles in the church. Most of all she wanted to change the status and the welfare of the widows, orphans, misplaced and destitute children through the love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

In addition to her Diploma in Business, she has a Diploma as a Social Service Worker from Niagara College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s Study from Athabasca University, and a Certificate in Christian Counselling from the Institute of Canadian Christian Counselling.  She is a motivational speaker and has spoken at various women’s conferences and in several churches both locally and internationally.  She is the founder of the Fort Erie Multicultural Women’s Alliance and was the president for five years.   Her primary role was to help immigrant women from different ethnic backgrounds to find a way to adapt to their new environment and face the new life ahead of them as they entered Canada.  She has received several awards in her volunteering.

Within the Community

She became a widow in May of 1995. Since then her ambition to reach out to the widows, the fatherless, and the forgotten deepened and caused her to initiate many projects to alleviate the poverty, illiteracy and disconnectedness that these communities may experience all the while expressing and teaching about the love and salvation of Jesus Christ.

Through Dorcus Project Uganda and the support of many churches, sports groups, and personal donors, Jesus continues to use her as an extension of His hand to reach those that are dear to His heart.

When not partaking in her philanthropic ambitions, Reverend Christine is often found cheering on her children and grandchildren in their many endeavours to be world changers!
