Dorcus Project Uganda: Water Well

Our water project is a continual process as we expand and grow. The moving of the pump, water pipes and buying gas creates a continual expense and we are looking for methods to minimize the cost of supplying running water on the farm.

We decided to dig our own well as the table water was not so deep. We had no machines to dig so we did it manually. We employed a local native who knew how to dig and build a well. He was able to find the water at 37ft. We bought an electric sub-mounting pump to pump our water.
